2024 Qingdao-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Dialogue

President Lennon Tan represented SMF at the 2024 Qingdao-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Dialogue, held at the Shangri-La Hotel. This dialogue highlighted the growing partnership between Singapore and Qingdao, with both regions looking forward to exciting new opportunities for collaboration in the evolving global economy.

Given the long-standing relationship, Mr Tan also identified four strategic areas where Singapore and Qingdao can strengthen cooperation:

🔹Joint efforts in clean energy, smart cities, and environmental tech 🌱
🔹Collaborations in industry 5.0, IoT, and supply chain management 🤖
🔹Partnerships in marine technology, port logistics, and maritime trade ⚓
🔹Advancing biotechnology, and state-of-the-art medical equipment 🏥

As we look ahead, Singapore and Qingdao are poised to continue building stronger partnerships in the areas of sustainability, digitalisation, and the marine economy, paving the way for shared prosperity and innovation-driven growth.
