Exploring Opportunities in the Vietnam Market

On 6 September 2023, His Excellency Mai Phuoc Dung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Singapore and Mr Bui Dinh Long, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Province of Vietnam, graced the seminar and together with delegates from Nghe An Province, shared insights on the benefits of investing in the Nghe An market. SMF President Mr Lennon Tan welcomed the attendees by sharing SMF's relations with Vietnam, such as the recent MOU signing with the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park JV Co. Ltd (VSIP).

On 13 September 2023, His Excellency Mai Phuoc Dung came to the SMF once again, with Mr Lam Van Bi, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Province of Vietnam and delegates of Ca Mau Province. Together, they shared the benefits of investing in the Ca Mau market. SMF Vice President and Honorary Secretary Mr Melvin Tan welcomed the attendees by sharing the success of Singapore companies in the Vietnam market, such as SMF member Tai Sin Electric Limited, who had set up a subsidiary in Vietnam - Tai Sin Electric Cables (VN) Co Ltd (TSVN).

This year marks the 50th year of diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership between Singapore and Vietnam. The SMF looks forward to more collaboration with our Vietnamese counterparts to provide more investment opportunities to SMF members.
